Hi everybody I'm new to the forum . I'm the owner of 2002 mille its a very nice bike but needs lots of attention- in my opinion . On top of that I need to keep my bike outside under cover and now it won't start . I left my bike unused for 3 months my bad . Last week I've been trying to start My bike but no go only craking sound under the seat. After reading some post I've decide to buy new battery this upgrade made no different , on top of that cracking sound is gone . Now I don't hear any sound coming from my bike . Only the rev counter going up to 6000 rpm and back . Is it possible its alarm fault I have datatool system 3. Please help I love to start raiding My rsv again weather is getting better . I've spend some money on new oil and filters on top of new batter and have no money to take it to a garage . I've had similar problem last year but after new buttery I was able to enjoy my bike summer time .

Hi Pat

Bike is not turning over I can't hear fuel pump . Last Week I decide to connect old battery to My car at this point I was able to hear bike turning over but It was not possible to start My bike, only cracking noise under the seat where battery is . With new battery motobatt 14 amp bike is dad only rev counter is moving for a second up to 6000 rpm and back . I did check kill switch , bike is in neutral all basic staff . thanks for any help

What about the tilt switch might be worth a look check that the starter is getting power clean all contact to do with the starter put a 150amp starter solenoid on this gives less resistance

Cracking noise would have been the solenoid....short across the terminals to see if it spins the motor over ...if it does your solenoid is fubar

I won"t be able to do that My electrical knowledge is very limited I'm worried I can **** something even more . But I will check all connections and my fuses . let you know guys and thanx for advice

There are 2 terminals on the solenoid...get a heavy spanner and go across the 2 terminals..may be a few sparks but as I said the motor should turnover.

You can do it

Problem fixed it was blown fused I had to touch some cables when I was connecting new battery . Thanx everybody for help . I'm back home after 2 hours on My bike and very happy .
