On last leg of tour-de-france and after a day of heavy rain the engine died and the service message is now showing on dash. Turned off and back on and still showing the message, nothing happens when I press the starter button either, any ideas guys?

It's just been taken by the recovery bloke who speaks no English, so no help there.

hi mate, there were two showing one was starter motor I think, couldn't remember the other one. It's with some garage the RAC have sent it to benign looked at so sat waiting in hotel for the call..

Was it fuel pump ?
I had starter + fuel pump codes and it was a fuse (under the seat) worth a look.
Unfortunately for me i replaced the fuse only for it to go again - turned out to be a short in the loom was blowing the fuse...

Hope its nothing serious and a quick fix...

Mine shows the service message, along with the triangle of doom but it starts and runs Ok and no fault codes are displayed. I think it's moisture in a connector somewhere, or on my bike, it could be the battery coming to the end of its days.
Hope you get it sorted.
