Heard it all before, end of the year you can bet any money that they'll cut their margins. In any case the workshop generates a far greater slice of profits than the showroom. But if sales are low, they'll cut the margins sooner rather than later.
Thing is AH no one is forced to sell motorcycles. Of course there has to be sufficient margin in the business, if there wasn't no one would do it in the first place. They're not gonna stop taking their piece just because wholesale has gone up.....Unless people dont buy enough, which is why come the end of every year there are deals to be had.
If any of us had a grain of sense we would simply draw the line at these increases. Any punter who spends over 10k, never mind 12, on something so utterly pointless as a litre sportsbike (muzzled and uncomfortable on our overcrowded crap roads) deserves to be shafted.
If you must have one (for the track say) you can get a really good used example for 3k, a tidy o4 Gix maybe. Chances are it'll be more comfortable and have more usable grunt than the modern equivalent.
