Best rides and pictures on here

Did this little run today. Any lads from Yorky or Lanky will know these roads, but everytime I go its diferrent cause their are just so many.
I head up from our place through outskirts of Bolton through Belmont, Darwin, up past Rocket Centre on to Clitheroe then head out to Settle. A59-A65. At Settle get on the b6479. Or go further and at petrol station near Ingleton get on b6255 , think its called Laundry lane and after a bit it opens up. I love that little stretch of road and would describe it as best ridden with your nads against the tank. You can even get airborn a couple of times. Both join up and end up at Hawes. Either go in to Hawes for a brew or do a sharp left and head for Sedbergh, a684. Crack on to the a683 which takes you to Devils Bridge at Kirkby Longsdale. After a burger and a mooch get back on to a683 to Hornby ,do a left on to b6480 and that will take you back towards a65 and Settle and Clitheroe.
Not a long ride but pretty demanding in places and if theirs not much traffic its ideal for a Tuono. I left at 9-30 and got back in at 3 buggered after about 190 miles.
[if i got the road numbers wrong sorry but you don't really need to know where your going just follow someone else for a bit if you get lost]
Anyhoo heres some pics.

Nice of them to stop and assist.

And thanks, where did the Caberg come from? We don't have any dealers here in Canada. Sounds like a decent price, too.

In their defence he did say he was getting assistance, he thought the rider was with me as I was pulled up on the side adimiring a view [ollie]. The fookers had about a mile of road all blocked up whith lycra and herberts cheering them on. Caberg do well in most of the tests on lids, its the first I've had and used it all year, third of the price of a 'proper' one. Fleabay might be favourite, one went for 75 squids a bit ago, new to. I did get 2, one for Mrs N but she wont wear it. Only a small though.

Otley TT

I bought a GoPro HeroCam earlier in the year and stupidly haven't used in all summer! Doh! Anyway, whacked it on the Tuono and went for a spin this morning on my favourite local ride - 1 hour door to door. Video is in two parts. First video has camera suction-mounted on the frame, part two has it on the tank and then the tail. I find the editing process a bit tedious, so films aren't as neat or as short as they could be, maybe one day when I get that art of filming sorted it'll be worth it!

Got an earlier model about 5 or 6 years ago, i thought it would be the bizz for having a smoke while still riding, it was good for that but when shut and in speed mode it made my ears bleed above 130 I mean no more than a couple of seconds and you had to back off because of the pain. Any way most of the nesbits i know wear arias and dianese kit and wouldn't be seen dead in anything less than 2 grands worth of kit, snobby fuds. Btw ma lid cost 150 back then, i still use it for short runs and its brill for driving into the evening sun.
Aldo.
Btw are you kiddin on your the pollis wi that lid.

Where ya bin ?
Here's me thinking I'm a fashionista with me dandy lid when they've been going ages. The only prob is the wind at speed but other than that their good eh.
I am an Aria boy myself but can not get in to Dainese not matter how hard I breath in:bawling.
Lid does look a bit federal don't it.

*sheepish look*

I bought a GoPro last fall and swore that I was going o take it to the track... It's still in the box. Methinks I'll have to take Stoney's idea and just mount the effing thing and then go for a run...

Its an amazing little bit of kit. If you have the 5mpx wide model there's a firmware update that allows it to take an 8gb card now and record for 4gb in one go (2hrs)!

Make sure you fit Lithium batteries or it'll die after just a few minutes.

The suction mount is good for 150mph+. Not too many places to stick on the T though...my Beemer and Blade have loads of different places to try because of the fairings.

Get it on, go for a ride and show us your local roads!

Supposed to be sunny if cool this weekend Stoney. Will go for a bit of a hoon and see what the footage looks like. Having issues with the "start-up disc is full, please delete some files" so I have to figger out that problem before I can DL any more pics.
