Battery

Anyone need a new battery. Today I bought a new battery for my 2006 RSV and it does not fit. I filled it with acid before trying to fit it so I cannot take it back. Yes, I know, I should of measured the old one before ordering the new one but, we all make mistakes.
It is a Varta YTX14S-BS. I can send it by post in its original packaging, Any offers.

Just replied on rsvr.net too. You can't send an acid filled battery by post mate. It's very dangerous and not fair on the posties.

You might find someone who can collect it mate. It'll probably fit quite a few bikes. Stick it on fleabay as collection only and see how it goes!

I believe that can be made to fit, cutting some tray out, making your own cable ties to secure it.

Fitting a bigger stronger battery to any RSV is surely a worthwhile adventure. ;-)

The new battery (ctz14sbs) in mine (gen 1) is much more powerful than the original one, but smaller too due to advances in battery technology. No need to hack the battery box to get it in. In fact I had to put 20mm of packing underneath to lift the battery to the correct height so I can access the terminals easily.
