Right bought a barnet clutch and some 15/50 semi.

Any tips for fitting the clutch?

Going to soak the plates in clean oil and try and be very methodical, keeping things in order. But are there any little trick/tips etc?

Thanks in advance!

Slipped a few times on me so I thought best to get it done! looked at a fitting guide looks a piece a piss!

Probably wont be saying that tomorrow!

you shouldnt have any probs fitting it. Pretty straight forward, after 45k my original plates were only slightly blued ,,,still I fitted a barnet clutch plate set and a stm slipper with no issues.Yeehaaww
cheers

45k and it was still going?? some one needs to get more hamfisted off the line :p

Personaly i dont bother soking new pads just dip them in the oil i've just drained. very easy job to do any way! hadest part is holding the basket and stoping it spining.

Thats another thing check the Tabs on the clutch basket for littel groves (from were the friction plates have dug in). If you have any then you need to replace the basket other wise the new plates will wear very quickly

ha ha---I kick its arse everytime I'm out on it!!
reckon I'll get 60-70k out this motor, trhen I'l slot another in
cheers
