Out today and got chatting to a group who were heading up to North Yorkshire..

They were all 'IAM' er me and mate kept stopping to wait for them, but when we'd arrived at the designated meeting place, and had a bite of lunch..They sent a representative (very diplomatic bunch) to tell us...They didn't want to ride back with us and we in fact were banned from there group...Oops, it wasn't me..the Aprilia made me do it..

LOL, similar thing happened to me today too. :eatcorn

Was at the Oakdene Cafe and all these 'Blood Donor - Support your local NHS' bikers had gathered around in the lay by to listen to some women spouting some crap about the ride they were doing up to London. :puke

I rolls in to the lay by with my Pirelli Corsa Pro's that are in pretty bad shape and an extremely loud exhaust, pulls up and parks right next to the group that are listening tentatively to the women's route instructions. :biggrin

I then start looking for Hooked and Flick. :doug

I had never heard or seen so many people tut and shake their heads in disgust.

All I could hear is, that tyres disgusting, gives bikers a bad name, some old women said 'Why must they be so noisy'. :jack

So I reckon that my membership with the local NHS Blood Donor Group will have been cancelled and my termination letter will arrive this week.

Ha ha... Bet it was the M.A.G. They have told me off before..

**** um, you left them behind any way. Its not like you would ride back with 'them' eh

So winking suggestively at the IAM chaps and being a bit exciteable with the throttle gets you banned from their little group? Didn't you ask if you could come and play again if you got one of these?

:doug :devious

Oh IAM as in Advanced dudes with green triangle stickers right?
Sorry get it now....

Actually the spokes person was a woman..Very very plum voiced. I kept expecting her to come out with some St Trinian type comments.."Oh whato what jolly japes".

Wondered why we were sat on our own in the cafe..::bawling no one loves me..

Wouldn't have minded, but the roads were wet and I thought we were being quite sedate..

Ps these Michelin 2ct's are very confidence inspiring in the wet, not even a twitch..

Tut tut tut...It's people like you that give us sensible motorcyclist types a bad name..:biggrin

Ha!

I'm tame compared to Flick. :biggrin

I wasn't the one doing wheelies and stoppies on a ride out yesterday.

Advanced motorcyclists my arse, if they are so advanced how come they are so fooking slow? :nana

(Still got my stabilisers on, only had it three weeks)

you should of sent a representative back and say
"well we didn't want to anyhow"
dead childish like hahahhaa

cool:thumbup

hey amb I was being pretty re-served. My tyres being shagged, well not as bad as yours and my brakes are like cheese.

I might buy some advanced rider green triangles off Ebay... Ha ha ha

What those green tri angles make you ride like you've just stepped outta that film 'Driving miss daisy' no thanks. :puke

Now, if they did them in carbon fibre then I'm up for a set. :thumbup

'Why must they be so noisy'.

Because a loud pipe is a lot safer for a biker than a quiet one. Personally I want the buggers around me to here me coming. Lets face it most of them don't seem to see you.:dunno

Funny you say that Black Sabbath cos my horn has not worked for yonks... I just clutch and twist. Splits the traffic like Moses and his sea trick...

Must admit, did it in Camden a while back and an old lady fell over when she stepped back up the kerb off the road... and yes I did about turn to help her to her feet.:biggrin

Yer all heart there Flick...did she rip inta yer for scarin' the **** out of her! :nana

Oh please, how pathetic and childish is that...
I do everything to avoid "group rides" anyway.. It's just looking for agony.

:eatcorn

I must be a real snob :dowhat

1) I've refused to ride with people before (although I've never used the work 'banned' :laugh - I just don't ride with them).

2) The NHS incident just sounds inconsiderate and rude to me :dunno (Now if it was a pushbike group, they're fair game though :))
