hi all, read many posts on balancing tb's and adj trimpots but as we can adjust cylinders individually how do you read co for individual cylinders? do the downpipes have lambda bungs? I have a lambda bung by silencer for using my wideband datalogger but this of course reads both cylinders co.....

For CO2 you need a gas analyzer with a splitter on the leads for each cyl. There are bungs in the front and rear downpipers to take the adaptors for the gas leads.

Setting the CO2 takes away the need to balance by vac guage.

I used to balance my TBs with a VAc guage and the results where good, but since Spoonz set my CO2 whith his analyser its been even better. BTW I checked the TBs with the guages once we had set the CO2 and they where spot on.

i wonder if they are 18mm bungs as then i could use my wideband co2 logger?

the thing is if the trimpots on the ecu are active and lets say not the set the same on each cylinder then balancing this way would be wrong as the point of setting the butterflies is so that they open identically when on throttle..........?????

Groover!!!

the wideband lambda is the perfect way to monitor the co 's perfect!!!

can the control unit that your using adjust the fuellin to suiit dynamically or not ? i dont know the system your using??

The butterflies in the throttle bodies are moved on a fixed pivot so no way of adjusting them dude , so the air bleed at idle is adusted by the srews on the left hand side of the unit .b The fuel trim is adjusted by using the trim screw in the ECU , i would adjust these using a CO metre to ensure the end result of combustion in each cylinder is the same , so doubtful the screws will ever be the same as im sure both cylinders will be indentical.....still you never know!! hehe!!

what system you running then dude.....sound intersting!!

griffer!

hi Griff, i have an innovate lm-1 wideband datalogger which i use for my impreza mapping. if the rsv is out then perhaps Alain would do me another chip with the mapping i need otherwise its power commander time! need to spend some time and set it up!

can you do both pipes with the lm-1 or individually, I would think you have to do them together to balance them.....
I have an lm-1 somewhere :think
