im not one for making a fuss and hate being pampered/moly coddled anyway.

i just want time with the wife in our new house and not use this as an excuse to maunge about feeling sorry for myself.

Hi really sorry to hear your news, runs in my family also, mum dad, brother, sister..
Sister inlaw had it 15 years ago and is fit as a fiddle, also my next door neighbour who's all claear and living life to the full..

So, what I'm saying is try not to think of it as a sentence, and try to look on the positive.(yes easy to say) but as I said my sister inlaw beat it and now lives life to the full, never at home always buggering off somewhere.

All the very best
Mark

Mr Big Un.
You are the man so fight the f@@ker all the way, wife had a brain tumer 8 yrs ago she as beat it to date. As for telling your family that is your choice however boot on the other foot?
You are a good fellow and with determination you will get over this hurdle in life.
GOOD LUCK Martin

Sorry to hear that mate. Life is **** sometimes, My mother has also just been diagnosed 3 weeks ago so I know exactly what you must be going through, (no concelation I know), but hang on in there bud and take care.

Christ ol mate, thats not good news to be dealt & saddens me to hear this Matt.
However, as said by others above.. i also have a couple of close friends that fought and won their battles for cancer...i have faith in yer ol mate...you can beat this & come out the end bigger and stronger. Get hell stubborn on it & inbetween you and your li'l lady gotta do some of those things yer always had in yer heart to do. Go for it big fella, we all here r mentally fightin for yer...so drop in and vent when yer need digger. Regards n Respects, Aj :thumbup

Yup stick with it bro. My sister beat it and two people at work did too. Treatment has come on a long long way in recent times and although it can be pretty unpleasant, succes levels of beating this kind of illness are at an all time high.

That was a hell of a post to read mate, so sorry to hear your news. Like the others above have said there's no definite ending to this and I think your attitude of doing all the things you have meant to and enjoying your wife/house is the way to go. There's a lot to be said for a positive mental attitude mate so go to it and enjoy every minute.

Matt - you fight it mate, if there's anything you need (apart from my shed) or i can help you and the missus with, moving etc - then give me a shout and i'll come down at weekend to help you out pal
Steve

Dont know what to say Big Man other than use every fibre within yourself to fight this thing - which Im sure you will. If there is anything you need, just ask.

best of luck dude, if you need any advice from a hospital jockey geez a shout.
Kick *** dude, and get back on here soon.
Ck

So sorry fella,if there's anything any of us can do,just let us all know, best of luck fella & kick it...:thumbup

Like every one else mate sorry to hear your bad news, and i'm sure every one will agree you know where we are if any can one can help you out with anything.

Thats **** news mate but try and be positive, treatments these days for cancer are much better now and when caught early enough can easily be beaten as others have posted, its no longer a certain death sentance like people used to think it was. You never said which cancer it is and each one is different, but i'm a firm believer that if you have a positive attitude towards any illness, not just cancer, then you will beat it. The power of the mind can be pretty powerful mate so keep your chin up and vent off on here as much as you like were all here for you :thumbup

As others have also said, if you need a hand ,with anything, just give us a shout were not too far away :thumbup

not much any of us can say of course but like everyone else you've got my thoughts....best of luck all the way

worth saying at this time that i too have several friends / rellies who've come through completely and though i don't know you except from reading your posts etc but i pretty much can tell you're the type of fella who'll kick the f**ker into touch

mike

PS no apologies needed - i can be a tactless c**t at the best of times
