My fireblade stand is from an 07 Blade and it bolts straight on,a true 5 minute job
However its a good bit longer then the std Tuono one and you would only want to fit it if you have an Ohlins shock (or similar) fitted.
I have my shock about max ride height with the forks dropped in the yokes and the bike is now at the perfect angle and height for my set up. I always thought it was going to fall over on the std stand and it was impossible to strap down on the ferries because the front wheel just came up off the ground whenever it was ratcheted down. The more pressure applied the higher the wheel came up.
A wierd situation occured whilst overseas though, We had a great 5 day tour of Northern Spain last month but the bike was a ***** to park anywhere on the road because the crown of the road is reversed of course. This meant the damn thing was almost impossible to leave in a safe position unless I got it actually off the road completely as it was sat almost bolt upright when put on the stand

Scary ****!:eek
I have a laugh to myself when I'm riding with my mates. They all pull up and park anywhere convenient, and here's me circling the area like a vulture waiting to land on a carcass, looking for a good spot to put the sidestand down.:lol Often they're all parked nose-in, and I'm the only one parked the other way 'round. I'm sure they think I'm a little 'strange' sometimes.
Oh yes :yes:yes:yes, I couldn't agree more, I've been there.
Everyone else already in McDonalds or the local cafe and I'm still looking for somewhere to park the damn thing. At least now with the new stand I can park it in the same area and facing the same bloody way as everyone else.
The joys of owning a Tuono eh? :lol

Falco,
your saying it needs Ohlins and not the standard R shocks or have I read you wrong.
