Fook knows
Chaps, where does a chap by ones bearings these days ?
I need some fot Foono dog bone and linky plates gizmows.
Part numbers and contact number/website much appreciated :thumbup
Same as the early Rsv's btw.

Part number is AP8110065 - looks like the same part for all years - gen 2 tuono, 98 RSV & Falco all list it as same.

Have you got one you can measure, or can you get the ID of the recess in the dogbone, and the OD of the bolt.

The genuine Ape one is listed at £17.70 per bearing, and you need 6.
Looking at the bearing King web site their needle rollers - say Ø10 internal, Ø14 external 10mm wide are £2.42 each ( pluus delivery & VAT I think)

Blimey Paul, I expect you to do that as well mate :lol

I am serious btw. I've got girl flu and can't fink proppa.

Have you got your paws on a mille swingarm then?

If you want me to dismantle one of our bikes rear suspension to measure the ferkin dogbone you have got more than flu, you are stark ravin bonkers.

Someone on here must have a dogbone in their garage, maybe they can tell us.

Hahaha no I can do it mate, I ain't got the shwinger yet though. I was going to do the bearings a bit later but they need doing now with the hammer they've had while the T's been off road.

I was just searching AF1 - I figured someone must have done this before, but only to Capo's and they use a different bearing - AP8110066 which is bigger I think.
I was seeing a lot of people commenting on the fact that the needles are not in a cage, and most are reporting missing needles.
If you can get a caged roller bearing, in theory it will not be as capable of taking the loads, in practice the fact that you wont lose needles and they will stay lubed will make this a better solution, from personal experience I haven't seen one yet that was actually lubed in the factory.

Mmm, I've seen some poor reports on nearly new bikes and dog bone issues because of this.

I just want to do the Foono's bearings in case the T's retired for the a while due to ***** Aprilia fork stocks. I'd of bought a fork if I new it was going to take this long, its only been a month but feels like 12.

Steve.

Found it, it was actually Windy who did the home work for his Tuoldo a couple of years back, he lists the following bearing type as what you want,

HK1812 Full Complement Drawn Cup Needle Bearing - from £1.81 a piece for budget, or £3.17 for quality ones. You need 6 - item 2 on the fiche.
I would also fit some 'O' rings to the sides to help keep the grease in and the crap out.

Make sure that the bearings are full width or full compliment type, some only have 3/4 width needles.

Actually the symbol is HK1812V and the V stands for - we only make this fcking "HK1812 Full Complement Drawn Cup Needle Bearing" for Aprilia and some other motorcycle manufacturers. Only bearing I've found were "caged" ones with less number and shorter needles. OE bearing has 31 needles without a cage.
Have same problem as you Nob, try them http://wendelmotorraeder.com./

They are supposedly Torrington bearings, who are part of Koyo these days, and are based in Milton Keynes. You should be able to order a set from any bearing stockists, and there should be plenty around Mankunia.

When am suffering from that problem jolly industries was the only company who helped me out from that particular problem. I bought bearings from them and they are very effective and easy to install. For more information visit my site thrust bearings
