Well glad too see some Aussies here, im in the land of sun Port Douglas in the Far North Queensland which is an hour nth of Cairns. Moved from Melb last year and now i can ride all year without freezing my nuts off....

Welcome.

I'm down near Melbourne and don't have a Tuono. ;)

Went for a little drive when I was a bit younger though

Well.... Im from New Zealand... Our accents are kinda the same... :lol

But seriously... well done with the rugby! :thumbup

We did it alittle easier than i expected.... now b4 u jump on it i think the Blacks will bounce really hard in game 2..
Too much pride over your way i lived in Auckland and Napier for 2 years and saw heaps of rugby there and had a great time..... good luck in game 2 i will speak to you after that...

Towie: I agree there mate. We never underestimate the power of the Allblacks. They always seem to save a little something special for the Wallabies. Especially at home.:kicknuts

And it's good to see another North Queenslander on the boards. If I get up your way later in the year, we might get a chance to catch-up.

Dave

Sure Chunkylad, where are you and catch up for sure...

Well...dont really watch rugby (no wheels involved) but looks like you guys were right... Only saw the first half tho.. Who won??

WOW the All Blacks were on fire!
As i said they would - they came back at 500% and kicked the **** out of the Walabys... Was good to see how different things came be in just 7 days....
Well done Kiwi's.... you bloody bastards

Hey Towie, I just signed up on the forums tonight after placing my order for a demo 1000 R due here next monday. Have only test ridden a 1000 R for 20 mins & had to have one. Would love to catch up for a chat & ride soon.

Cheers

Hey there Stu.... congrats did you buy through Cairns Honda? Is it the silver one they just got in? what were you on b4?
My mate ( Guzzi Grisso ) and i ride up to Kuranda from Port Douglas probably every couple of weeks at least. We have just started riding more often now every weekend and looking to get a group going so would be great to meet up as soon as you have the beast delivered.. cheers Towie

Hey guys

My mates and I are planning a trip to Cairns (from here in Townsville) later in the year.
We might try to catch up and ride the Tablelands as a group.

Dave

Good idea Chuncky let us know your itinarary and perhaps we might even join you guys for the day we often go up the Gillies range to Tinaroo for lunch then coffee at Mareeba Coffee Works and down the Rex range to Port Douglas or down Kuranda Range....
Anytime your heading this way let us know...
Stuminator lives in Kuranda area too so he's right in the mix of some great ridding areas...

Excellent and fun planning the trip..... lucky buggers

Cant Wait To Take Her Home

Hey Towie, yes I did buy it from Cairns Honda, however its a demo bike from brisbane that they got up for me. I just can't see the point in dropping $5 or $6 K in a year on a new bike. Its a red & white one with 1400 klms on the clock. Anyway its my first ever roadbike & I guess I'll want to get the feel for the road & bike as I have been dirt riding all my life up until now. I have always had big bore 4 strokes & usually had them heavily modded.

I nearly bought a secondhand Buell firebolt which I must say out of all the bikes I looked at was the best looking one by far especially with the trick micron exhaust ! Pity it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding ! and had to be flogged to get the front wheel off the ground.

After riding the BMW 1200 K with the lady on the back I was ready to do the deal except for Fiona suggesting to test out an Aprilia.

Graham & Roly gave me the keys to their brand new Tuono with 0 klms & said give it a go but its yours if you scratch it, Sounded fair !
Was this bike created for me ? Wow I'm still smiling & I look forward to sorting out a few mods to the exhaust, airbox, ecu & gearing.

Any suggestions on the way to go about mods ? and how it affects performance ?

Cheers for now & I look forward to going riding with someone who can give me a few tips on road riding so I dont let my dirt bike skills kill me !

Cheers
