Took the prilla out for a spin on the slightly damp roads this avo takin it pretty steady as I'm quite new to the world of sportsbikes..............

The main reason was too go and fill her up with fuel at my local Morrissons.........and see how she started a few times on the ride out after fitting my new Motobatt MTBX12U.............

Well glad to report that she starts everytime now on the button with no hint of a pause like before so :thumbup with that!!............then coming out of the roundabout from fuel station turning left in the middle of the turn I open her up slightly in second and waaaaaarrrrgghhhhhh the back tyre lights up breaks traction and I'm powersliding through the rest of the bend like my enduro tyred WR400 used to .....JEEZ only gave it a little beans........mind you the roundabout was damp I suppose!!!!!!!!

But what a hoot this thing is too ride :biggrin everytime I take her out am luvin it more & more...... stroll on summer:devious

as i said in a post on here ive had over 40 bikes but the millie is one of the special one's

i find it makes me grin every time despite only having 120- odd horses its the character i love (jap bikes just dont seem to have it ) and why ill be holding onto this little gem:thumbup

new you'd like the motobatt :roost go easy on the salted roads there a fooking menace

just fitted the same battery to mine today ..glad ya feed back is good about it .... didn't get chance to test it out on mine though :(

One thing I have noticed with me leathers on though is that you can't grip the bike with your legs as its all too slippy I find I am also constantly pushing myself back a bit on the seat as my nads keep getting crushed by the tank.........I did read a post a while back bout some1 on here with the same prob but can't remember what they used for knee grips on the tank........any one got any good cheaper alternative suggestions???? Sommat like rubber grip tape if it exists???:dunno

stomp grip. ? ... have a search on flea bay ... must be something you can get ....have seen sticky foam but that would tear off I recon and look shabby after a while

here you go 2 stroke ive fitted stomp grips to mine for the same reason nads and grip lol

ive fitted these to a few bikes as they are the best thing going for grip.

I'm lookin to go a bit cheaper cos I'm a tightass:devious

I seem to remember seeing windsurf and surfboards using some sort of rubber grip waterproof tape in the past, that is what I am thinking as I think it will stand up too wear , abuse and rain.......
Also seen some cool snowboard grips and thinking mebe skateboard deck grip cut to shape but from looking at ma kids board think its too coarse and may scrape up me leathers?????
Will try a scuff test tomorrow..........:thumbup

Might be an idea to invest in some Crash Bungs as well Mate.....

Better safe than sorry!!

Cheers for the input chaps :thumbup

I think velcro would be pretty dangerous as you could get snagged up real easy and restrict movement when needed :confused

Lonner cheers for the tips & links don't think the nut box will be required though once I got the grips sorted as it should stop me sliding forward then .......although I do have a bollock box if still needed kicking around somewhere from the days I used to kickbox........:devious

Crashbungs deffo on the list of mods to do soon am searching for a second hand set as the rsv fell over the other day and cracked the rear indicator no other damge though except a scratch on me new red bar end :dowhat think I may go for some axle bobbins front and rear too or make me own with some stainless studding and sk8board wheels like I did on me GSXR :biggrin
I got a set of led shorty indicators may try and fit them later as I noticed the bulb has gone aswell!!!!!
Does the flash rate stay the same if just fit Led's to rear on the old rsv's?????????

Took mine out other day 2test out home made air box, thought clutch was fooked till I felt back end twitching, was lucky not to throw her cause lit up rear tyres goes way beyond my talent, love the stomp grip info lads, just gonna order some off flea bay n give it a wirl :)

A few of us on here have these crash bungs. I bought a set after hearing about them on the forum, good quality and price :thumbup
R&G are the best for the upper engine mounts.
