as in, soon we will see the final prototype and see a formal press release, etc.

hey...i'm just really excited about this bike, ok? :laugh

I have never ridden a v4 before what would be the advantage over a v2,,,
smoother less vibes,faster maybe...:dunno

Higher rev limit, more horses the best optimisation of I4 & V2.

Low down V2 like grunt and high I4 rev limit, broadest spread of smooth power. And not so vibey :biggrin

Probably best cofiguration for a race motor, ask Mr. Honda and Mr. Ducati

:eatcorn ... Most bikes out there today don't really excite me ... with possible exception of Duc1098, however, I can't wait to see this baby ... possibly my next ride (time to start saving my $$$) ....:eatcorn

What are you guys planning on doing when you replace your current bike?

With the RSV ceasing at the end of 2008 will you consider the 1200 shiver derivative that replaces it or the V4 or jump ship to duke,KTM etc ?

Me personally i bought an RSV because it was a twin as much as anything else. The V4 could be superb bike but i don't want a 4.

neither do I, its gotta be a v2 (why are all new bikes japaneesy these days?)
cheers

Not sure yet spoonz, i'll be keeping my 02 RSV Mille R for a while yet it's just too good to replace. The only bike that i've seen that has impressed me that i could be tempted with is the KTM RC8. I'll be looking more closely next year at what bikes Aprilia have, V4 included if the price is acceptable

I've only just got my Mille and it's an experiment. I'm finding out what I like. If I bond with the Mille then my next bike - in an ideal world - would be an RC8. If I don't I'll be back to the il4s.

As long as it goes like **** off a shovel, I don't care what it looks like and I'm not impatient I just want one now!!!!
Cheers

They are making a road version of the V4, they have to or they can't race it. As the factory gears down production of the RSV this Summer they'll start knocking out V4's. Sweeeeet.

Cheers.

Someone accross the pond quoted the v4 WONT be made into a road going bike :confused:confused:confused:confused:roll:roll

I,m not sure they would have spent all that wedge if they weren't going to make the bike. :dunno

Cheers.

I might be missing something here but I think the bike at the top of the thread is stunning,, may not be 20k stunning,, not 100% on the underseat pipes, but,, I wouldn't boot it out of my garage for not starting!
