Ok guys so I just found out I have a faulty solenoid on my 2001 RSV, what solenoids will replace this one? Somebody said that a yamaha solenoid will replace it. Also if the solenoid is bridged should the bike start?

Kept this new it would help & saves me typing it :pirate
If the bike fails to turn over and if the battery is 100% ok, then to test the starter solenoid, switch the ignition on and very carefully bridge the two terminals on the solenoid with a screwdriver or similar. You'll see a few sparks but don't worry. If the bike turns over ( do not start the bike though ) then the fault is with the solenoid. Replace with an uprated Yamaha starter solenoid, part number 4KD81940-00, about £29 from any yamaha dealer
