aprilia rear brake denial letter

W

Hi all
Can anyone help? I am after a copy of the letter from aprilia regarding the rear brake fault, the one that says that there’s no problem with rear brake loss and they have had an independent dvla test to…… bla bla bla
I read mine, screwed it up, shredded it, then set it on fire in DISGUST. my bike has been back under warranty 3 times, last time new bigger heat shield and thermal wrap, it seemed ok until the weather got hotter.

I read mine, screwed it up, shredded it, then set it on fire in DISGUST. my bike has been back under warranty 3 times, last time new bigger heat shield and thermal wrap, it seemed ok until the weather got hotter.

Still got mine somewhere, thinking of using it, as the brakes gone again after having it done 500 miles ago..

I did the same, after pi55ing myself laughing at it, then crying, then punching a door through.

I would like to put the *** who rode that on the back on my bike and just show him exactly what is wrong with the back brake.

That seems a bit odd, my bike is in today getting the rear brake done under recall, my mates bike was done a fortnight ago, under recall, and it is now spot on. If there is no problem why are they recalling them in to bleed them properly, I never actually recieved a letter to take it in, I enquired with my local dealer and they told me. Im sure if the recall is just for 04 on models though, but worth checking.:dunno

Had mine done following recall letter...smashing for a couple of days, but now fading fast, it's clearly a design fault that will have a VERY simple resolution but clearly Aprilia don't want the hassle.

From what I can gather it’s because the master cylinder is positioned in such a way that the heat from the exhaust/engine allows air into the fluid, I was also told that the more you use the brake the less the problem reoccurs, and up to now no 06 rsv are re-called just some tuono’s ?
When it’s out of warranty I may try a remote master cylinder and reposition, till then just keep bleeding.
Still it’s the only complaint I have. The rest is foooooking grrrrrreat:doug

p.s I don’t need the letter for any reason other than I was going to show the dealer the letter when the bike goes in for it monthly brake re-bleed. just proves that aprilia swim in the big river that runs through Egypt:jack

thanks guys:thumbup
