Yep know them only too well (quite local to me) & not to cause worry Colin - but wait till you select number 3 for parts on thier automated system to then be routed through to a voicemail (EVERY TIME), I am yet to have my calls returned, I now will not use them - they have pissed me about way too much ........................ but in saying that maybe if you buy the bike from them then they may well be more helpful.

Likely i will take the shock off and send it to them and get them to send me the replacement back.

Should that prove to much for them or Ducati UK then i shall make my thoughts very clear.
what i have been hearing from owners is that Ducati are very very good as a manufacturer at handling warranty claims and often offer sweeteners should there be unusual situations/delays or hassle on claims.

I can feel an Ohlins coming on.

I wanted a SP1 for long enough but got a RSV instead because after comparing them the RSV is a better bike.
The SP1 is heavy and steering in towns is bad cause of that bulging tank to make up for the bad MPG.
I wanted a 1000cc V twin and i feel i made the best choice in the RSV Mille. :thumbup

TL1000R - :puke

TLR aint pretty... NOr is the TLS.... BUT.. and I am going to get flak for this. The TLS is ******* fantastic!!!! I have owned three. My last one being very trick. LOADS more bottom end than my Mille. And also riding thru town was easier.... although I always had Renthals. :doug

BUT... They did let me down. Electric fire. Clutches. And I snapped two chains... My first two had the ol skool rotary shock and it behaved with my hooning. And I did HOON on those :inlove

I had a modding head on, so I sold them all and bought my Tuono...:inlove

Tnker tinker...

Rode a TLR trackbike....................quite possibly the most powerful v-twin I have ridden, but they are as heavy as a tank !!, and what gives with the rear suspension ?......Nope I cant understand how Suzuki fecked it up ssooooo bad as it could have been THE v-twin !!.
My V-twin experience
VTR1000 Firestorm - destroyed
VTR1000 SP1 - destroyed
RSV-R - "Frankie" & current bike
ridden the TLR trackbike , Ducati 998 & 1098R, 2006 RSVR......................I'll stick with "Frankie" for now :)

For me a good Italian twin is like a lady and you need to pamper it.

Colin you are so Smoooooooooooooooooooooooooooth!

Sorry to hear about your Duke. And theres was me thinking it was the rain keeping it off the road.:pirate. If there is anything I can do...:eatcorn

Rain No, Salt Yes

Shock is out and should be back with Ducati today so hopefully it will get sorted soon Ta

TLs? Pah! Long before all them I owned a TR1 - the Japs' first attempt at making a Ducati (or a Harley). Two SR500 barrels on a common crankcase with an awesome 69Bhp should have been a recipe for a classic - instead it turned into one of Yamaha's least-remembered lemons. My only defence is that it was, like all my bikes in those days, spray canned matt black.
