Hello! I have a 2000.5 ape that I modified in the last 4 months. it has ohlins forks and rear shock (not the ****** original mass-produced ones, I invested ~ 2800 euros only on the shocks), braking discs, brembo 18mm radial front pump, renegade DIY box, shotgun arrows, arrow chip. I would like to race this bike next year on the isle of man. what do you reccomend I should do further?

Get yourself a decent Eprom the Arrow one isn't really that great better than stock but not by much , Look at a Factory Pro / Garbo / DR Rossi type that have a advanced ignition curve .

sounds like youve got everything you need, apart from a good life insurance policy 4 racing at the isle of man! lol

LOL! i've got a very good health insurance and no family so i don't need life insurance too :)

quickshifter married to a PCIV, a proper slipper clutch, and a radial clutch pump, Oh and some carbon discs? only 900 each..eek.
ck

PS-check my garage for mods, Im all modded out now lol

i'm waiting for the new pc5 to see how good it is. i've placed an order on a factorypro in the meantime and an evo shift kit, evoluzione slipper on the wish list. the clutch dosen't really bother me for now so i'll leave the pump stock for now. carbon discs? sure, they would be great but i don't think i'll need them, i'm not a world-class rider, just a mad one LOL and i'm not getting any younger so that i would have a chance at getting to be a world-class rider :)

the quickshifter is brill, you will be laughing like a loon in yer helmet.
that and the Evo slipper are the best two mods I did
cheers Ck

i will try out a bike with a quickshifter these days. i've never used it, i'm slipping the clutch when i want to go hard in a straight line. not in the same gear i mean, from 3rd up i rev it till max hp, pull the clutch but don't let go of the gas, shift and away i go. feels fast and is fast. i'm going to do a few 400 m passes with the quickshifter and without it to see what is better :)

full throttle changes matey ace fun, no need to back off, just burp it up, mines set for 6k plus, but you only need to use it when you want. same with the slipper, which you can change down really harshly then pick up the revs from any point without it breaking away or stepping out
ck

SO ARE YOU GOING TO DO THE MANX GP?

Mate of mine done it the other year on an SP1...kitted out with lots of HRC kit...

a week of testing/practice....1500 mile....just completed the 1st lap in a race and had a blowout at 130 just down from the start/finish ..massive tank slapper bent his ohlins steering damper took him nigh on mile to slow down

even though he had loads of HRC kit on it he was bemused the 600's were coming past him ...lol and he's no slouch...he was UK champ when he raced LC's

i want to do it, yes. it's not about winning or getting in the first half or anything like that, it's just for fun and the adrenaline rush.
