re tires (tyres): I'm constantly rolling the bikes around in garage to get at the snow removal equipment, so I doubt I meed to jack the bikes up. never heard of that, actually...i hope you aren't pulling my leg...I'm totally gullible. :)
As long as the correct tyre pressure is maintained, there is no need to take the weight off them.It is a good idea to move the bike around a bit so the wheels get a different 'resting' spot.

KB, tyres won't thank you for sitting on a sub zero surface for any length of time.

Any tips for summerising bikes? Was 40c here today, engine was running a little warm. I hope you guys that have to stop riding over the winter have snowmobiles or something else to ride while the bike is away... Winter here is only wet, just keep riding :)

It was -2c here this morning, but the roads were dry, so I rode to work. No winterizing for this boy. Do need to look into some heated gloves though. :shocked

winter storage

Take battery out, drain carbs (not appropriate for most on this forum) drain or put fuel stabiliser in tank, buy a vacuum bag, leave it for years, sorted (apart from mice)

Spray acf50 or duck oil ,whatever etc. all over it .Then throw a blanket/quilt over it and hope for the best and an early spring.

This way you can ride it anytime there is a decent day

I try and use my bikes over winter if the weather aint too sh1tty and roads are dry, and use an Optimate as back up.
Being sad and old, as well as my Tuono, I've some Jap Classic bikes, and a few years ago I was advised to install in my garage a couple of tube heaters linked to a thermostat, and then spray anything that had a wheel at each end with Scottoiler FS365: I was sceptical at first, but 3-4 years later all is still shiny and bright :thumbup.

Roll on Spring !
