Seems to par for the course at the moment!

Battery charged ok. You press the button all the way in and it turns then stops. If you press the button in, say half way it turns over fine.

Think the button is starting to go?

I would personally recommend popping down to Halfords buy yourself some electrical terminal cleaner as this removes oxidisation, then strip the switch gear down and give it a blast with that.

Before rebuilding make sure you pack it with Dow Cornings DC4 grease, that'll stop it ever happening again.

Pretty sure Tim (AREESSMILL) found a link to some pretty cheap, may be worth a quick search or perhaps Tim would be kind enough to supply us all the link again.
