Hi all.

I am looking for a set of baffles to fit in my Akras.

Has anybody got some they want to sell me please?

They measure 43mm in diameter.

Steve

Cheers mate.

Called them and they are £76 a pair :exclamation

Will look for some other option.

I guess he's either disturbing the neighbours at 3am in the morning like me, or else has been ticked off by the police like me :)

I've never used my baffles, but it's one of those awkward things which you keep because you think they're going to be useful sometime....like when you need to go on a stealth ride....

What do you need em for Steve ? your bike sounds sweet without them :thumbup

Been pulled by the police and they noticed straight away no baffles in so I want to cut the ends off a set and just put them in so it looks like baffles.

Thanks for the offer of old socks supertedlover but think I will decline on this occasion.

Morgan - you will see from the reply that it was the secong one, I live in a road full of bikers so no concerns about noise - the louder the better.

Steve get a pair of these mate - Click Me :thumbup

They actually work and they make virtually no difference to the bikes performance, small enough to slip under your seat cowl too just in case you get pulled again. :devious

I need a set for my Gianellis too, just need to embezzle a few more quid from the missus and I'll be ordering a pair. :roll

did they fine you dude:dunno what action did they say/would they take if you didn't remedy the situation? do you think they would they just repeat the fine or would it become more serious if u chose to ignore their warnings? never been pulled before in years of riding but feel it to be only a matter of time. I love the sound of the ape:inlove and would hate the pigs to take that quality away:mad: cheers fellas.

Where abouts did this happen Mahoney?

I've never been cautioned for mine since my Akrapovics aren't marked for competition use only. The last time I got pulled, the policeman just seemed to like looking at bikes rather than being picky.

I don't know how anyone carries their spare baffles under the speed hump. Mine is tiny as anything.

I got a set of db killers from ebay with the intention of doing the same!!!!!

not fitted yet but a lot cheaper that 76 squids to have the appearance of baffles!

TT

Straight through cans with 104db tested at caddie. Not been pulled with em either. :nana:doug:doug:doug:doug:doug:doug

Hi Mate.

On the way to Finchingfield, just stopped me because he heard me comng before he could see me and said I sounded like I was speeding (not me surely, lol). Luckily for me I know where they usually sit and slowed down in time.

No fine, just a polite 'I think you need to make this a little quieter' remark. he
gave the bike a good look over and that was all he could comment on. He was one of the very rare coppers that didn't harp on about how many accidents blah blah blah.

He did say that he would like it to be sorted in a kind of - 'do it or else next time' but polite way.
