Anyone ever found the little plastic bracket supposed to hold the filter down doesnt do its job quite right??

bloody flies everywhere inside  why cant they design it to actually hold it down :rant

i checked and the screws were done up as they are supposed to be.. just a fact of life, the bracket sucks :angry

on a positive note, the new K&N filter just fitted seals really well and the bracket holds it down a heck of alot better (since the K&N is actually slightly bigger)

also it should be noted the ironbite (a.k.a homer uwe??) airbox ring thing has a little clamp which helps clamp the free end of the bracket down, thus preventing what you see above :thumbup

:confused

look at the lid of your airbox. You will notice the lid has fingers of plastic which engages with the bracket and pushes it down at the front when it's fitted. holding it firmly in place hence the raised sections on the bracket where the 2 meet.
