Help Needed

Just Fitted a set of aftermarket LED indicators from Ebay and now got a intermittent Red Warning Triangle.

Its not on all the time but mostly seems to come on if I use the right side indicators. All 4 are flashing and at the same rate (2 at a time obviously) but the dash board indicator seems to be a little iratic on the right turn.
Yesterday I also noticed a bulb symbol with a right arrow then a left arrow pop up on the bottom of the dash display. I have tried swapping the 2 wires over on each indicator but then they don't flash at all.
I was under the impression led indicators were ok on this bike.
any ideas or do I just buy another set.

On most bikes you have to fit a resistor but not 100% sure about the T but see this on eBay 400726775742
 
Led is fine on the v4 the ecu controls the flash rate, I have fitted led indicators from the bmw gs and work fine, you may have an error code that would help there is a YouTube video about checking error codes that Dan has done
 
Ok done the fault code check but all codes are clear. Had all indicators off and re checked the spade terminals all look good and tight. Still getting the same warnings on dash. Any of you guys fitted led indicators, if so could you tell me which ones work ok and how much / where from. Also pics if possible

I've fitted ones from the bmw. Not cheap like but look good and I've not had any issues.

If it normally has ordinary bulbs, fitting led's will deffo cause problems with the canbus.
The ecu looks for a certain level of current drain every time you put the indicators on.
The drain with led's is so low, the canbus can't detect it, and you're likely to get a dulb failure warning.
 
I installed Koso LEDs. Bought from RevZilla. No resisters needed. Work great. Look really good.

Going to go with blades idea first as cheapest. If that works great, if not will have to look at fitting new set.
 
Ok so the resisters seem to have solved the problem. It would appear that dependent on which led blinkers you fit, you may or may not have to fit resistors.

I had a little play with my indicators I wired a set of led indicators to one side just to try and it put the warning up on mine too,so I guess resistors are needed on this as with other bikes I have owned unless you get some with them built in :thumbup
