My dealer has a '08 demo Tuono R 139mi full 2 year factory warr.Arrow slip ons.ecu chip etc.
$9000.00

Another dealer,Hondas and Ducatis, has a '08 Tuono Factory,5,000mi. no covarage.60 day money back.
$11,000.00

Is the factory worth the risk?

Will you ride it hard enough to appreciate the Ohlins? Aside from that, and perhaps more importantly, which one will make you wanna ride it more when you are away from it? It's a bunch of $, so you best be personally satisfied with the decision you make.

tbh with the extra $2000 you could buy the ohlins of ebay and still have change and you still have the much nicer silver frame, plus the std has the Arrows which are mega bucks and lovelly to listen too, with low miles and 2 yrs warranty sorry but it's a no brainer.

Ask them to sweenten the deal by giving it it's first valve clearence check at 1000km or 621.37 miles for free.

^^Yep,I agree with what he said.^^

5K is nae a bad mileage contrary to what some may say ( ie them that do 100 miles every 6th dry sunday!!!).

The T engine is a solid mechanically reliable lump and take the miles no problem. Important is its been looked after tho. First service is 6K so allow for that in yer reckoning.

Seems a fair price difference just to get the Factory spec as apart from suspension and a bit o carbon the bikes are the same underneath.

Its a taste question really, mingin goldie lookin frame or the cool and sexy silver! (guess what I,ve got?)

This is only any good if he can change or be arsed doing the shockers himself innit, if he has labour on top it'll hardly be worth it. Then he'll want a rear shock. Why spend a load of dough on a bike like that then start pissing about with it, just buy the finished article.
I say Factory, if anything was gonna pop it'll have popped by now.

I agree with Nob.:thumbup

**** I'd go with the factory every day. Saying that if the plod aren't about I'm a fairly fast road rider. Thought I was slow until I went out on a group ride out and then the others said the front runners were going a fair lick when I thought we were taking it easy trying to keep the group together. If I had to have a gen 2 then it's factory all way for me. Mind u I'm happy with my Gen 1
