I've decided to sell my TL1000R as the 60 mile commute is becomming a pain in the neck (literally).

I love the look of the Tuono but I'm not sure what model to get. Is there anywhere that lists the differences between the old/new, racing/factory/standard models etc.

I want to spend around £4,500, would I be better of geeting a 04 factory, or 07 standard model. Do the ohlins/Oz wheels make a big difference?

I will be taking in to the ring in the summer so the factory might be the best option?

Thanks in advance.

The new gen. handles a bit better.....as far as the olins..well, there the best....Oz's...less rotatin' mass....
I have the 07.5,and plan on the up grades.I'm hoping to put a factory theme on mine, less the carbon fiber bits...don't care for the look. Will cost less to do the mods.
And to reply to THE Question....go for it!!The TLR is a great bike, you'll love a T!!
Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Do the later models come with OZ wheels as standard, is it just the ohlins/carbon bits that differ?

Buy the Factory model Tuono, as it has the "trick bits":thumbup oz rims, carbon fibre etc. Check out the for sale listing. Looks like mine selling for 4500 pounds.

I am selling my Tuono, it is as new with 1,200 miles with full Aprilia service history. It was first registered in the UK March 2008 and has 12 months Aprilia warranty remaining. It is the 139bhp model. Yours for only £4500 / 4,500€

I believe the 07.5 and later models (like mine) are same engine as the older factory model.

Gutted, I paid £3900 for my 04 model......wish I would have looked on here first...oh well thats life aint it :)

Don't worry, be happy. Some think the 1st generation is a better bike. Whatever T you got, IMHO it's a great bike.
