Hi all,

I've been trying to adjust the angle of my clutch & brake levers (in line with the angle of my forearm) to make it feel less heavy on the wrists, but I've come across a couple of issues.

1) rotating the brake lever- after rotating the throttle clockwise to make space for lever movement, the throttle cable 'L' guides are posisioned to such a degree that the cables now rest on the upper fork tube. Can the 'L' guides be rotated by undoing the nut on the end of each guide? I wasn't sure if this was an adjustment nut...

2) rotating the clutch lever- once undoing the pinch bolts, this just refuses to rotate at all. How do I move this one? I haven't had time to look properly, but guessing I need to undo the plastic switch housing screws to rotate it further? Seems to incorporate the fast idle lever, too.

3) raising of the rear end- apparently the Sachs damper has a threaded adjustment bar on the bottom. I have always felt like my Mille tips in a little too slowly & looks quite low at the back. I've messed around with damper heigh before on other bikes and much prefer a 'twitchier' bike, but it's generally been a lot of faffing until I find a setting I like. I'm now older and wiser, so will ask others before trial and error!! Has anyone done this, and to what height?

Thanks.

I wound the ride height Up think its a 22 mm spanner , makes a big change to how they handle and turn in , worth doing
Only down side is they are more prone to being a bit wobbly on the side stand , I made a foot up for the stand , it helps a bit ,but really needs the Fireblade stand
The levers should move easily enough , mine do anyway
There may be location pips on the clamps , just dremmel them off if so
Dunno about the throttle cables tho , but I think I had to move the reservoir a bit iirc

Thanks, do I have to undo the bottom bearing from the linkage to wind it out, or just slacken off the lock nut & wind it out?

I managed to move the levers down, no drilling to any pips or clip-on :) Thanks!

Mike, is the Fireblade stand a bolt-on replacement, or are some modifications required? Also, any particular year of Fireblade?

Thanks

Benny , just turn away , watch what goes on to si where it's moving to , I think your unscrew ing it to lift it , but I might be wrong

Fireblade 04-07 , you need the bracket that bolts to the frame too , there's others , blackbird Vfr and so on that fit , use the search
Tool on here and AF1 forum
