Here's some footage of a GoPro 960 I borrowed earlier this year for a rideout. Good quality, no doubt about that, but price-wise it is little steep. Also, it makes objects look further away than they really are.

This is the drift hd170. It's set on a lower 720 setting but is still pretty good.

My next camera though will be either the GoPro HD2 or HD3. I had a GoPro before and the mounting options were much more versatile.

gotta love the gopro but as has already been said the trade off for having a large field of vision is anything off in front looks a long way away
