Apologies for spelling

Has the bike meets started there yet this year?

Might need to get of arse and actually have a look :dunno

I've been up there three times so far this year. The first time was a cracking day and I reckon there were about 50-60 bikes there. The other couple of times it was quite quiet, less than 10 bikes there. I've never seen Aber bus station with no bikes at all at any time of year (though on one pissing wet November day there was just the one!).

will need to pick up car as left in town after rugby....and poss go to Folwers this afternoon too.

I'll go scenic route to take a spin up to Abergevenneneenny before the rains come:bawling. if you are not already out I'm on black '08 T with Renntec rack...

I don't think bike meets have stopped down the bus station mate tbh. It might not be as busy but in past years I've been down there middle of winter on a dry day and it can be busy.

Any fine day now and its packed. Was jam packed lat weekend

went up good spin, just one hsower. - few bikes out. the roads are clear cos all the Welsh have got hangovers :cheers

won something..i think.

suppose some might even be looking after Mummykins too....

Yes indeed. I went in February (?) quite a few there and THE most welcome hot drink possible; I was perished!

I'm absolutely gutted I work every other Saturday so can't get out on the bike as often as I'd like and the weather is quite good at the mo. With regards Abergavenny Bus Station I can quite easily walk down there after work even if I don't have enough time to go out on the bike but I feel a bit of a saddo going down there looking around bikes. I tend not to hanker after anything else other than the bike I own and looking at bikes really does nothing for me. Aber for me is just somewhere I meet people at the beginning of a ride and spend 10 minutes having a chat.

Even on the 7th April the guys are meeting at my place and dropping their stuff off before heading to Crossgates and then my 1st stop off before we go off into town in the night is a nice little country pub. We can all call off at Aber bus station on the way through if people like though.

Funny when you live in a palce theres no real reason to visit it is there

As it is nice anyone fancy a lunch time get together tomorrow?:dunno
Know I'm new, but happy to put a face to a real name. nothing formal, just anyone vaguley local....
Reminds me the old **** needs a servicing this afternoon...:bawling

It will be good warm up for April 7th (that I am still working oni

Was down there today for half hour. Got talking to some dude on a ktm who said there were 3 v4's down there just before I pulled in. Original and still the best gen 1

Bay - Not disrepecting the Gen 1 in any way, but for me, got to be Gen 2. As per other post, it's the twin exhausts that give me a semi.:drool

and that bizarre Star Trek style rear end...

As the clocks go fwd and as i've had a whiskey or two, lunch time is all i could manage. might see you tomorrow, might not. El L. LOL.

Prob not tbh as I'm taking my boy swimming this morning and taking him out this afternoon somewhere as weathers nice. Sun out = family time

Some woman pi$$ed me off slightly yesterday at the bus station. Was stood close to the bike and she came wandering up with her husband and some young guy with a camera. They took a pic of a Honda 400 I guess cos the young guy has a thing for one of them. She walked past mine and said take a pic of that one as well if you like. Look at the colours Red, Yellow, Silver and Gold. Then walked off. Felt like saying to her' "Its ******* standard you ignorant *****, don't you know your bikes". I like keeping mine pretty standard apart from the exhaust and it was sat there in the sun after being freshly cleaned gleaming like a pin.

What a *****! Should have slapped her..

It was her ******* attitude like 'look at the colours on that one?'

I can't and wouldn't take the graphics off as its a bloody original racing one which has all the stickers under the gloss exterior so they don't peel off.

Ignoramous

Bay that is funny mate.

I hate it when I park at Ironbridge and people drool and swoon over Harleys, GSXRs and Ninjas ... and all but the wise walk past my T.

I have to say though when I fire her up and give the throttle a lickle blip ... heads seem to spin round like feckin owls!

Notice also that men turn to see what's coming 50 yards or more before you get near them while women scowl and pull their icecream covered kids back from the curb.

Who gives a toss about what others think. Especially those who know **** all about bikes.

Personally I'm into riding my bike not riding a few miles to the local bike meet having a cuppa then tootling off back home. Me & ****** did nearly 300 miles yesterday. mostly full hammer. Great as the roads aren't being infested with tourists & caravaners just yet and the old foggies are too busy getting their bulbs in and gardens weeded to be out clogging up the flow of traffic.

TBH mate I rode my bike a few miles to get the MOT done on Saturday then rode it the few miles to the local bike meet, had a cuppa then tootled back home the half mile from Abergavenny bus station. I do have an excuse of prior engagements in the afternoon and not having the house key to get back in and fuel warning light on. Took the cash to get MOT done and didn't take wallet.
