675 or factory for next bike?

Already put a **** load in done a track day in july topped up before and 4 sessions later was at the bottom mark the guys on the tona forum reckon they all do that up to 4000 miles, she's already been back twice to the dealers and here's me thinkin id got rid of my problems wi the ape as well , who wants a boring bike with no soul...

I was looking at a 675 to replace my 06 Factory track day bike. I'm a skinny bugger and the factory was too heavy on track and I fancied something I could do the odd club race on. I did a fair bit of research on the 675 and got a lot of feedback from some Irish road racers that the 675 is bloody unreliable, particularly pre 2010 motors. I've ended up with an '09 blade for the track, which is bloody impressive, but still can't find anything I'd like more for the road than my 05 RSVR.

thank **** i bought a 2010 model then,i done a bit of research before hand and there are two main probs the regulator rectifiyer which needs changing and the exup valve can be sticky but if you go racing then it will be cut out anyhoo im planning on doing some club racing and thats why i bought her but ive got allot of practice to do to get my lap times down enough so i dont embarress myself to much but so far for the stock bike she was kickin some bigger bikes arses and a few r1s and blades were pissed off they could pass me apart from on the straight .......

Rather than killing yourself in F600 or 600 Superstock, racing in Sound of Thunder (Derby Pheonix) against RSVs, and Jap 750s will probably be a bit less brutal.

If you are looking at tuning the bike, as far as I can establish, John Trigger near Leicester is about the only guy who can get a tuned motor to hold together.

Does he do the stuff for Tag triumph i get fastbikes mag and they've just done a piece on them and 140bhp out of the triple is bloody good going, but its a bit early for all that stuff i know superstock 600's can be mad but i think thats why it apeals and lets face it testing myself against all the young whippper snappers will be eh fun......
