57mm Throttle Bodies

Hi,
has anyone had any experience of fitting a Dr Rossi 57mm throttle body kit to a 2002 model RSV R? I'm in the process of fitting a kit to my bike and I'm not sure what to do with the connectors for the injectors. Do I cut my loom and fit all new connectors or modify them in some way? Also what do I do with the fast idle mechanism?
I have e mailed Dr Rossi but was just wondering what others have done.
Any help appreciated,
Billy

Alain sold me the set off his bike which where tuono 57's so had the different type injectors which he had altered to suit the 51mm Mille injector plugs , as far as the fast idle mechanism goes you remove it & install your 02R unit onto the 57's

like Sensei says matey you'll need to transplant your fast idle. I'm pretty sure the DR setup comes with the injector leads you require and should just be a case of plugging it between your loom and the injectors (no cutting required).

I'm pretty sure DR will contact you and explain it all.

Well the fast idle mechanism is already in place, Alain sorted that for me so thats one less headache, I just can't work these connectors out,
my old injectors had a green connector and the new ones are black and just don't seem to accept the connector from the loom.
How did you guys get on with setting the bike up once everything was fitted?

Hi billy, Just get the rubber ring out the current connectors and they will fit the new ones since I worked them over.

Hi Alain,
good to hear from you again.
I've taken the rings out of the connectors as you said but the connectors just don't want to fit together for some reason???
Any other suggestions?

If like mine they will not click completely onto the mounting point as their shape are slightly different but they do hold themself tight enough not to come off ... I have a PCIII connected to mine & they work perfectly .

I think I've found a solution in the form of adaptors between the old connector and the new one from Aprila Performance who were very helpful on the phone today with some good advice, hopefully that will be job done! I did try again to make the two connectors fit but it felt like I was going to break something, maybe just brute force and ignorance is the way forward!!
Anyway, thanks for your help guys, as per usual the forum has been a god send :thumbup
