53 rsv damaged

hi all
thinking about buying a 53 plate damaged the rear sub frame as broke the lugs off this is the worst of the damage the rest is cosmectic its unrecorded
and the motor only runs when the black box under the seat is held on the level any advice any body idea on the money i want 2 be paying

Dude... Black box under the seat? Which one? You have a tilt relay in there, basically its a safety switch if the bike gets dropped it cuts fuel. I had to take mine out (02 Mille)cos it cut in a few times while at full lean.

Bits wise - more bits on Ebay for these than the smashed 06 Tuono that I bought last month, I am having a ****** mare getting bits..... £££££££ big bucks.:exclamation

thanks for advice ithink its the tilt switch ive noticed the prices on ebay can be crazy
or nothing but if its ment to be it will be thats life .

How much is it up for dude? I paid £1700 for my 02 plate RSV, it is cat C but who cares. Its now black, and has a few scars but I ride into London nearly every day and i would not want to be on anything else... spesh when i gas it in the tunnels. Its got a Renegade air box (must have) and a Devil can.. my neighbours, well lets just say I am moving soon.

the lad acros the road has a harly on striagh pipes its fu..ing loud

Just one more thing.... If its gone down exhaust side check the swingarm. It might have a big dent in it. Also check to see if the brake lever has smacked the frame... not terminal but a bit more bartering power eh..
