Been out today for the first proper blast since i got the bike, ****** weather and ****** shifts at work preventing me from doing this sooner. The seat aint very comfortable is it, my arse was killing after about 40 miles. Fast cornering was showing the back end to be a bit wallowey, the previous owner said hed had it set up to match his weight, 14 stone, with me being about a stone heavier than him i think setting back to standard and seeing what thats like is the best bet. Picked my lad up and had a little run wih him on the back, found the bike to be really good two up and my son rekons its far better than sitting on the back of the ninja. Wind blast not really a problem (puig screen) and other than fuel consumption a most enjoyable ride, oh yeh, the noise is fantastic (blue flame cans, baffles out), cant wait for the next blast.

I`m same as you Smudger, I`ve only had mine 5 minutes as well, but I love it more every time I ride it. I honestly think that it`s THE best bike I`ve ever ridden, and I`ve owned loads over the years; R1, Fireblades, Firestorm, Gixxers, Ninjas, TL`s, all sorts, and yes, an Ape RSVR as well (although that was an `04 bike), but this feels even more mental than the RSVR did, but with a comfy riding position and bars you can really use some leverage with in the turn.

Bloody back-brake even seems to work on this one as well (whether it`ll "go off" remains to be seen....:dunno)

I`m just smitten with the whole package; looks, sound, power (the feckin` torque is tremendous in 2nd and 3rd) proper sportsbike handling, suspension.........just every fookin` thing basically !!! :banana:roost

If all goes well, I'm getting an '06 Tuono this week from my local bike shop

1100 miles on the clock (can this have been reset?), all standard £4,700

is this a reasonable deal?

anything I should look out for ?

no, I wouldn't think it's been re-set...but I DO think the clocks have been replaced....there are hundereds of T's that have had clocks replaced under warranty due to fogging/misting..... new clocks reset everything to zero miles

check it out with the previous owner....also ask to see old mot's for further proof of milage.

glad ur enjoying ur new ride dude,re the suspension, being a stone heavier wouldnt make any real diffrance, standard settings are on the stiff side and if he had someone fiddle about with settings, then its worth taking it to someone who knows about the settings, not sure about where ur from or other mechanics, but a good mecanic should be able to sort it out in 20 mins, just with a tape measure and a few pushes and bumps of the bike,i know a bit far for u but s/cross do this, ride in/ride out for about £20.
well worth it to have a bike set up properly
