Diablo Corsa's every time.....heat up very quickly and even with a shagged tyre they will grip like hot **** on a blanket!

if you took money and poor millage out of the equation, what would be the tyre of choice for the road. road legal that is

In the bmw K1200S Pilot Power were great, and never let me down.
Now with the RSV I'm trying PP2ct and even being a different bike with different weight, i find the 2CT extremely hard to keep @ good temperature and only when ride very hard they really work fine.
Next set will be Pirelli SCIII.
By the way, how many miles you get from a new set of tires....(knowing that depends on driving style :angry

my M1's need changing and i've just past 2,000 miles on them

Right I've decided. I just saw the lad at work and his mate can do me Pilot Powers fitted and balanced for £165 so thats me sorted for rubber :doug

I've got rennsports M1's on my zxr750, got to say there not the best road tyer i've used. On track there amazing and give lots of grip.
Main problem on road is there VERY hard to get alot of heat into, even when pushing hard if you stop at lights ect they just lose the heat. Also if the grounds damp then they'll just let go (hard the rear tyer lose grip giving it a fist full in 4th the other day).

The M1's are from the Sportec range(fast road tyre) and the rennesport are a race tyre for the road basically,I'm amazed that you have only got 2000 miles from the M1's I run sportec M3's on my mille and just got 3500 miles from the rear tyre.
My M3's and my mate who runs with M1's on his mille both hold the heat very well it's a big plus point with the sportec range that they put extra silica in the rubber to produce more heat and it also helps repel water so I can't understand why you are having so many problems with yours.

I saw this piccy of a 2ct that delaminated on a GSXR.

Thats why Michelin put a recall on them, all affected batches were made in France apparently and were being replaced at no cost to buyers. Wouldn't like to have had that happen while riding

Looks like a 2ct to me bro but I dont know much about Michelins. I have one hung up in the garage but its only there cos it was a freebee and I probs wont use it cos I am very happy with my Supercorsas. Either way lets hope none of us get that happen mid corner!

i had a made in france 2ct on the front it was on the recall list
changed free of charge

The tyres in the picture are the Pilot Road tyres which as sprocker said had a recall on them and not 2CT's which are from the Pilot Power range

It was deffo 2ct's that had the recall, i had two replaced that were fooked anyway, nice result for a change:thumbup

:rantWhy is it that the rich blokes like Badger get that kind of luck?:confused I am never joining the fire brigade again. I am going up to Scotland to work for Badger so I can have lots of Aprilias and horses etc. :horse

Also, is it just me or has the female skeleton in Sharky's avatar got a cordless drill for a foot? At least I hope it's a female :eek2

Just playin with you Sharks:thumbup

i took the 190 rear boot off and put a 180 on. I've done the same on my 7r too.

One of the best handling mods you can do imo. But I like the bike to turn quicker

have pilot powers on my gsxr 1000 k5 and they are incredible. Have laid darkies without realising they are slipping, lost the front pushing very hard and stayed on and got round the corner and in the wet, it gives as much confidence as in the dry. Dont pick mille up until the first and will replace the rennsport on the way home. A few quid for a bike that you can play with is a few quid well spent, tyres that are good in the dry are great only where it stays dry..........

Although I hear that the Rennsports aren't supposed to be good in the wet they never gave me any scares and that's all I ask of a tyre. However, that knowledge was always in the back of my mind.

Had some 2CT's fitted today, what an awesome tyre! Rolls into the corners better which I put down to a different profile, although my old rear was well squared off. The wonderful feel was that although the bike wanted to go into the lean it was like rolling onto fly paper, that's how good they feel.

Had an absolutely fantastic ride on them today and combined with the recent suspension mods I'm NOW really starting to fall for this bike like I did with the Ducati. AWESOME :inlove

am a big 2 ct fan but have just had corsa iii's fitted for the first time and wow i think im changing over to these pirellis from now on:devious
