Rumors of the 2010 Yamaha FZ8 appear to be true, as the Japanese company has just released this teaser shot of the new middle-weight naked bike. Details are non-existent scarce on the FZ8, but it is rumored the bike will be replacing the FZ6 in Yamaha’s 2010 line-up.
Theorectically, this would make the FZ8 a more sophisticated middle displacement bike in Yamaha’s arsenal,*allowing Yamaha to better compete with bikes like the BMW F800R, Triumph Street Triple, and Aprilia Shiver 750.
We expect the 2010 Yamaha FZ8 to feature its own unique powerplant, but wouldn’t be surprised if some of the tech from the R6 made it into the naked bike’s design.
