You may remember that we brought you some of the first shots of the Moto Morini 1200cc motard taking some test laps back in August. Now with an up-close look at the bike, Italian news site Motociclismohas gotten a chance to ride the new Moto Morini motard ahead of its EICMA unveiling. Photos after the jump.
Code-named the “V12M01″, the new street-tard has yet to be officially designated, but “Grand Motard” seems to be a fun play on the bike’s Granpasso roots.
Regardless of the name, the new motard will feature the same Granpasso water-cooled 1187cc 87° v-twin motor, but power will be bumped from the Passo’s 118hp, to a slightly less anemic 127hp.
For those that like long-distance excursions, you’ll be happy to hear that the motard will come with the same 7 gallon fuel tank that made the Granpasso so popular with the adventure rider crowd.
Expect more on the “Grand Motard” when A&R lands in Milan for EICMA.
