Right I will try and make sure this makes sense. The other day the bike would not start in the morning, I went to work and left the optimate charger on all day. On getting home bike starts first time, go for a short ride get fuel and bike starts no problems again. Went out for a couple of hours and left bike off of charger on return I tried to start about 4 hours later again no problem.
Decided to put back on charger and leave over night, started no problem this morning and rode to work. Tried starting at lunch time and nothing dead as a dodo, got a local bike shop to drop off a new battery but now the alarm and will not arm or disarm. The red key is flashing on dashboard and no response from key fob. Also the led indicator on right side of fairing is no longer flashing.

Had to abandon bike outside at work and walk home, so anyone got any ideas.

How old is the battery??? Mine done the same almost identical had to leave it at work then fitted a new battery the next day. Mine was reading a healthy 13. Something volts but still wouldn't go. Not sure about the winker but the alarm will probably be the problem. Hope this helps a bit.

Well problem solved, it was the battery so my local bike shop came out to work and fitted new battery but still would not run. Turns out they fitted a battery slightly larger and did not refit the plastic battery clamp, which of course has the alarm tilt switch fitted to it. So the bike thought it was in a crash position and puts ecu into a safe mode where engine will not turn over.

So lesson learned, never take any shops word that you have no history and trust with.
