2006 tuono 1000 .help advise bad cold starting problems

firstly before i carry on .is the 2006 tuono affected by the common ecu failure .
reason i ask .as the cold whether is here my bike is having the common cokd starting issuises..
engine will crank fire .run for a few seconds then dies and cuts out .for a number of times..
if i start and hold revs on .its missis backfires and smells really bad of overfueling .

Sounds like the TBs need sorted although I could be wrong yet again

Here you go.

There are to my knowlege (in 2011) just 3 ECU versions.
The numbers are clearly marked on the top of the ECU's

266531 was the original 2006 ecu, the mapping had a few issues, namely, poor cold starting and a percieved flat spot between 2000 rpm and about 5000. Also, the fueling was a little snatchy at very low throttle openings.

266532 addresses all of the above issues, and iirc was fitted to late 2006 bikes onwards.

266533 updated version of above, afaik there's no difference.

My ECU stared playing up....a brief history.....

Damania had EXACTLY the same issue as me, except an air sensoor had gone awol too.
IF your ECU IS found to be faulty, pm Gabro on AF1...he has cracked the codes, and can re flash them with some seriously nice upgrades. (Think Gabro Chipset GenI, and you'll get the idea)

yep u was right i bought the later tuono 266533 engine fired straight up idioled very well

thanks just woundering whats next to go wrong

ps dose anyone have a therd on valve and shim clearances .
