2004 steering damper??

Would you recomend putting one on then???
When i had my head bearing done at southern x,that was the first time i have used it after they were done,so the front end now is sweeeeeeeet..So yes would recomend one mate..:thumbup
 
Depends where and how you ride. For normal street riding and town riding its better to be without the damper since the handlebars will move more easily.

For spirited riding its good to have one, because the handlebars do all sort of things you dont know, they move around a lot and a damper calms them down, the bike is more stable and you get less feedback and wrestle the bars less so you dont get tired so soon. (they still move a lot as they should :))

Check this video and look at the handlebar to see what I mean.

Do you need one, I would say no. But it newer hurts to have one :D

My 04 didn't have a damper until I had a bit of tank slapper and fitted an Ohlins soon afterwards:roll

IMO better to have one than not. You can always turn the damping down for road use.
