Hey guys

1st off thanks for taking the time to read this, ive got a 2001 rsv that was running fine i done some mods ie 57 tbs, open airbox,dr rossi chip and was all running fine in fact better than fine i was loving the gain i got but then the dreeded happened and some nice car driver pulled out in front of me so rather than hit the car i went siding down the road doing about 50mph.
Ive now rebuild the beast lol but its not running right, starts up and sounds fine but when i went out yesterday every time you open the throttle it starts to take off then i hit 5000rpms and it just coughs and splutters, holding the throttle open it will work up the rev range but spluttering all the way
Any1 got any ideas?
Ive just by-passed the sidestand switch by joing the wires as on here, ive checked HT leads, plug caps, injector connections and the tb senor but all seems fine
there isnt anything obvious so any help would b appriciated
thanks brett

I had something similar on another bike, it needed the tb's balanced, it revd fine with no load on the engine but once on the road it was the same as your describing

I would put money on the Tip over switch has come off the holder or is not sitting flat on it ..... Small square unit by the battery Check it is the right way up if it has being taken off !

hey guys thanks for you info,
I have found the problem it was the alarm, whoever wired it in didnt really know what they was doing and made a mess of it
but its all sorted now and she is singing once again lol
