Hi, looking for some advise, Iv recently got a 2001 rsv and have a handling problem,
the bike is stable on straights but when I turn ether way it pulls in and I have to fight it to
keep the line, is there anything common that would cause this? or any suggestions

I'd be looking at tyre pressures and suspension settings aswell. I've found mine can sometimes handle a bit strangely, especially into roundabouts, if my tyres are a bit low on pressure.

thanks for the suggestions guys, Iv cheeked the head bearings all good, I had a new set of tires fitted yesterday and its handling grate, I think the front tire was worn in a odd way, so im going to do the fork seals and oil, in case there why the tire wore out funny,

All sorted then, it's amazing what a worn tyre can do to the handling, even one that has been stood doing nothing for a month can be deformed enough to make it feel like a different bike.

lateshift the bike had been sitting awhile and the front tire had cracks so was always going to be new tires needed I was a little surprised how bad it made it handle tho,
this bike 2001 rsv is the first Iv ever had, befor this I had a cbr250rr a rvf400 a rgv250 and a gsxr750 srad, only had the rsv for 2 weeks, Iv put new plugs oil tires coolant brake fluid
and am about to do fork seals/oil, its got 29,000km on it, anything common I should look out for?

Which is why I always recommend, if you can, keeping the bike on stands if it's not going to be moved for a while.

Stigy just keep a good charge in the battery and never try to start it on a weak one (sprag clutch can go on them as they are susceptible to that).

If you are checking the oil level do it immediately after a good ride on the bike and look for it to be about 2/3 the way up the sight tube when on a level surface, don't over fill it as it will spit back through your airbox.

There isn't actually a lot that goes wrong with them mechanically, the engines are great but sometimes they can be a bit temperamental 'electronically'

Just enjoy the ride :inlove
