2001 Mille R not running

My Mille R died and now wont run.
It breifly showed and ERR 1 message.
It will turn over but the pump etc. doesnt come on.
When you turn it on the usual EFI message doesn't appear it goes straight to cold.
Checked fuses etc. and there all fine.
Anyone any ideas?

is err1 just one of the messages shown when the wires are linked, that means its ok??

are the wires disconnected now??

has the tip over sensor got dis-lodged??

The leads are now disconnected.
The ERR1 message was only shown when the bike died and coasted to a halt.
When I connected the wires I got no message.
 
is your fuel pump working? is there voltage to it when ignition on? can you hear it prime?
 
I'm going to electrically test next but I cannot hear the fuel pump prime as usual when I turn the ignition on.
Currently thinking relay for pump/ fuel injection.
 
That sounds like your next test to me, Just switch the fuel pump relay and the identical engine shut off relay beside it and if the fuel pump primes at ig on then it's the relay.

For future reference the fault was the engine stop relay.
If this is faulty the whole system, EFI, fuel pump etc. will not work but the bike will turn over.

Well done mate, all information is useful information.

Found that faulty shut off relay failure pretty damn quick, should think about becoming an Aprilia techie.
