Hey guys! I just got the bike yesterday and the EFI light is on.. Anyone got any idea what this could be? I checked the manual and stuff but I couldnt find anything. Let me know!:confused

is the rev counter set at the correct rpm when i picked mine up it had a new battery on but it was not set and efi was flashing so set it to 10'500 rpm it stopped flashing:thumbup

When I got it, it was set to 6,000 rpm. I moved it to 8.. i'll bump it up to 10,500 and let you know! Thanks!!! I thought it was something really bad. lol

I had the same problem on my 99 rsv, i think it was caused by all the rain we had the other day, but i solved the problem. it was a loose connector down by the radiator which had come loose from being wet, so dried it off, reconnected it, and covered it in duck tape so it aint getting wet again! :biggrin

EFI warning is still up.. Changed it to 12, rode a bit no change.. Changed to 10.5, rode a bit still no change. Wheres the cable you're talking about mate?

When you first turn on your ignition, EFi will show in the right hand LCD part of the dash for a few seconds then disappear and be replaced with a flashing "Cold" and the current time. Does yours do this? When you then start the bike the "Cold" will be replacd with the engine temperature once it reaches 40 degrees i think. If the EFi then flashes it means there is a trouble code stored due to a fault. To access the trouble code you need to connect the two diagnostic wires together and then follow a procedure in attempted to start the bike. The diagnostic wires are located behind the right hand seat panel and are two wires with bullet conenctors at the end. For a list of trouble codes see here

Here's a thread on a similar fault
