I find it very snatchy.....when sitting about 30-40 what gear are you in (im usually in 5th.....is that to high)

When i got off it tonight, i had strange soreness in my groin and stomach, i dont know if its me ie not being in the right gear hence the snatchyness and causing more vibes than normal
 
Anywhere in the region of 30/40 mph I'm usually in 3rd, although around town its either 1st or 2nd.

5th is too high a gear for 30-40 mph try 3rd. I'd say opening it up from 40 in 5th is not snatchy on mine it just pulls smoothly. Not sure if that's causing your groin/stomach problem though! Best see a doctor about that. ;)

Ah ok, so I'm in to high a gear, I guess I'm just used to the Bandit 12 as I could sit in 5th and it was fine..

If I get that strange feeling again though (and I just might) I'll see the doc

Just got a rsv myself recently, one thing you learn early on is, these bikes like to be ridden! Slow speed 30ish just use 3rd gear.... no biggi?

Only been riding properly on sports bikes for a few years so I'm not hugely experienced, however never come across a group of motorcycle owners that have such a passion for their bike as with the rsv.....

Ride the bike..........Get the feeling........ I am!!!

I think Ian has mistaken it for a turbo diesel! ;) Whatever gearing he has he must be reving at about 2400-2500 to do 40mph in 5th.
