Yeah your right its done to death lol

Im running 190 at mo, had 180 in the past and the only difference i can say is it turns in a little quicker, thats it IMO!

Sorry mate, it had to be done:doug

always a 180 for me as i like my bikes to turn quick

Give a brother a chance!!!! Yes it's been asked before, but it only takes a minute to answer...

At the NEC I saw the Dunlop reps and asked them.

They say for a 6" rim it should always be a 190 section- now of course this applies to Dunlop, and bear in mind that they now do a good range of 200 section rears as well for the 1000cc bikes.

Weight plays a part too. The Mille is heavy, and if you're a big lad or take a pillion you're better off with the larger tyre.

Finally I found on track that I over heated a 180 and ran off the edge; used a 190 and it was fine.

I'm no Rossi (or any racer for that matter) but I do run in the fast group.
If I can tell the difference even at my level I'm sure the 190 makes a difference.

always done to death this one and there is only one answer- WHAT EVER YOU FEEL COMFY ON!!!!!!!. sum people like 190(me) and others 180.

I am sorry i asked now. funny tho. I think i will stick with what i know for my Almeira trip while you all moan about someone elses questions. LOL!

All in the best possible taste mate:thumbup

Go with 180 at Almeria is my advice

Ask about Sprockets next mate :biggrin:biggrin

And if ya really brave try asking about the airbox mod

Hehe, waiting for that one Badg:thumbup

Dunc, as Jon says, unless you're Vale it probably won't make a lot of difference. Back when I first got mine I thought I detected a bit easier turn-in when I went from 190 to 180 but it could just as well have been my imagination or a squared-off rear. However, on this flimsiest of 'evidence' I've been swearing by 180s ever since.:jack
Doubt any of us on here have done a same-day back-to-back comparision. You won't go far wrong with either.
Have fun in Almeria:thumbup

Oh, and before you ask: 33/36 road, 30/30 track.

Rossi who? lol. no your probably right, i have just never used a 190 on any bike, just curious, 30/30 is what i use also, only for the track my bike, got fed up of road riding, i have had more fun on the track than the last twenty years on the roads, with the added bonus of now having a clean license for the first time in a long time, its my first twin aswell and have to say i didnt realise what i was missing, not the fastest thing out there but what a noise, twin akra's all the way.

190 is best ,i always find 180 a bit slow and the police helicopter starts to catch up :nana:roost

seriously though i have 180 for the quick turn in but some say 190 with a different profile 190/55 i think but not 100% . am sure the tyre police will be along soon to arrest me if i'm wrong :biggrin
