1000 vs 100

Whilst on my recent jolly I spoke with two separate fellows who both said they had owned the 1000 and the 1100 version of the V4r, now both these guys said they liked the feel of the 1000 more than the 1100??!! Anyone else ridden both bikes and have a say on this?
I assumed the newer model would be an improvement?
Confusion set in as to possibly replace my one with a newer 1000 or to the 1100..................:confused

I have owned both. The 1100 is simply better everywhere. They are both great engines and bikes though.
