Hi guys
I want to change the coolant on my '06 Factory so was wondering if there's any special procedure for doing it or not ??
I'm assuming it's just a matter of taking the bottom hose off the rad etc but is there a drain plug on the block too ??
Also is there any specific brand of coolant recommended for these bikes ??

Thanks in advance

Mark

Yes but you only have to change the coolant once and there is no corrosion issues with this coolant

Not sure if there's a drain plug on the rad , not had chance to take a look yet but if there is then happy days !!!!!....... I'll let you know what I find :dunno

Cheers

Mark

Waterless coolant is fine, but it needs any trace of the previous coolant to be completely eradicated from the system.
So you have to buy the proper engine flush and go through that process too.
A bit more expense and work than a straight change.

Yes you are correct but Evan Evans makes a pre-treatment that eliminates all the water and the thing you have to remember is water corrodes the inside of an aluminum engine like you wouldn't believe and a waterless coolant that has a much higher higher boiling point is a lot better for a motorcycle
