does your fuel pump prime when turning on?
also worth checking your tilt sensor, this can give the efi message

Battery is charged.
Fuel pump does prime and pumps when ignition button is pressed.
Funny thing is that it ran perfectly a week before. Sigh.
My first guess would be to check the starter relay.
Not the tilt switch or alarm then, they both kill power to the pump.
Do you hear the starter relay click when pressing start?

I hear a one-click relay sound, which i assume is the pump relay.
The starter solenoid is definitely not powering up. I would hear a loud clicking sounds otherwise.
If you have a length of wire you can power the relay from the battery to test if it works.
If it does work like this you will need to get a multimeter and start chasing the wiring from the battery to your kill switch and from the kill switch to the starter relay.
Try to find a copy of the wiring diagram (in the service manual) as it will make identifying the wires a lot easier. I can email you a copy of the RSV mille manual 98-03 but am not sure if the looms are the same.
