Hi Guys,
Recently my 04' RSV 1000R Factory has developed a weird engine noise, this weird knocking sound (like sand in the piston block) only happens at 2.5k-3k rpm, irregardless either moving or not, and accross all range of gears.
I tested the engine during cold and warm engine temp, the noise will still be there during the 2.5k-3k rpm range.
Originally, I assumed it was the tappet, but tappet issues happens accross all RPM range.. then I assume it was the CCT (CamChain Tensioner), but that will also happen accross all RPM range... is there something that the engine does at the 2.5k-3k rpm range?
till now, I still couldn't figure it out and it's driving me nuts!! hahahahah, appreciate if anyone experienced this before to share your solution...
