04+ Left hand clip on electronics removal question

I'm replacing the clip on I broke and have removed the short and long screws on the bottom of the switch box on the handle bar. I opened the two halves being careful of the wires, but noticed there is a hidden retaining bolt located inside the bottom half of the box that must be removed in order to be placed on the new clip on.

The problem is I don't see a way to get to it. I don't want to break the stupid thing.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Never had any hidden bolt on mine.
I think you have discovered the locating pin. It's just a brass pin that locates into a hole in the clip on to stop the switchgear rotating on the bars. It's just a push fit.

You're right. the clip on broke and pinched the pin, but I popped it out just fine. TY!
