Whene I bought my Haga I got a spare set of forks with it. Basically, the guy before me had panic brake at about 10mph in the wet in france, and dropped the front, unfortunately he hit a fork on a kerb or somthing when it slid.
So he started getting parts together to repair it. But he was a bit of a perfectionist and decided just to replace them.
so..
What I have is one pretty much mint, complete fork, and the damaged one, now they are at the mothers at the mo in the spare room, so I am just writing this from memory, but I seem to recall that the fork functions but it has a dent where the seal goes, from what I recall its not bent or anything, plus I have spares from yet another set :roll that the guy accumulated to fix it I suppose.
SO!
If theres is enough interest I will go take stock of the exact situation and take photos etc.
I was planning on keeping them, because as you know they are like gold dust should I need them for mine one day!
But christmas is near....

I'm always up for buying spares but only if the price is right. Half the stuff I buy I never use and then like a **** I let it all go with the bike coz I can't be arsed to sell it seperatly, then generally I go and buy another same make bike and have to start all over again. It sounds like you'd rather keep em, and you bet yer butt after you sell stuff you'll find a good reason to of kept it!!

Ha yeh this is exactly what the fella I bought the bike from did! I`v got a complete fairing set inc tank spare!

I would love to keep em, as they are like gold dust, but bit short of cash this xmas, so....
WHat is "right" money? Like I said if your interested, I`ll take some pics when Im by that way tomorrow...

Right pics, as you can see the damage is actually pretty minor, and i`m selling them will every thing you see here, i`v tried to show the dents, but as you can see I have a replacement leg, so it will just be left with the dent by the seal, but it feels the same to push down as the mint one and doesnt leaks so..., I`m thinking the dent may only be over the dust seal rather than the actual oil seal.

On the right are the original fork set, the top is the one with the dent, the one below seems excellent. On the left is the replacement perfect leg to relace the dented one, and inbetween are all the other spare bits that came with it.

Make me some offers!!! But be quick as I`v got a friend who wants em for his race bike! He may actualy get his finger out and put some cash in my hand, but who ever gets there first ;)

Ha, I actually have a spare almost everything else mate! accept my top yoke as theres is only one in the world :devious
Because its blue anodised and says #30 on it :smilie

what you reckon would be a reasonable price for these??

No idea what the forks are worth mate there are a couple of complete pairs on the bay for around £750.00

Yeah I know, well I`m open to offers...
How can I change the thread title?
Didnt realise how good these were as I werent planning on selling them..

Buuuuuuuuuuump!

come on! cheap ohlins! no one wants to make me an offer!???

Ha here he is! thought you`d been quiet for awhile ;)
and i`ll have you know they dont leak :biggrin

They known for leaking then? the ones on the bike dont leak either :D guess I`m just blessed.

Think it depends on which monkey rebuilds them :roll I had mine done twice by local Aprilia dealer & leaked both times so I took them to a dealer that specalises in Ohlins, he told me the mistake is they don't use this special Ohlins grease on the seals when they are assembled & because the lips on the seals are so thin, if the bike stands for a few days the lips stick to the stantion & the first time the forks are compressed it rips the seals.
******** :dunno who knows but they never leaked again.

£300 plus P&P?? aint going lower than this, else I may aswel keep em for the money it would cost to get another set should I need them in the future. Hell if I get through xmas without selling em I`m keeping them anyway!
